Bridging the gap between humans and technology.

Researchers innovating the future of human-computer interaction

About Us

The Human-Communication and Interaction Research Group (HCI-RG) brings together professors, researchers, and students from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oviedo. We are a proud Computational Reflection group member.

We analyse how people utilise everyday tools to communicate ideas and explore the potential of these tools to facilitate interaction between individuals.

Our main goals are:

  • Pioneering research in emerging HCI technologies, such as augmented accessibility and artificial intelligence.
  • Designing and evaluating innovative user interfaces and interaction techniques.
  • Conducting fundamental research on human cognition, perception, and behavior.
