Cinemedia

This is our hypermedia authoring tool providing full support for the Object Oriented Hypermedia Development Model (OOHDM). The resulting hypermedia artefacts can be distributed via Java applet-based web applications or via desktop Java Web Start-based applications.

CineMedia Astur is a multimedia authoring tool whose development model is based on the metaphor of a film production. This metaphor allows the incorporation of different kind of developers to the multimedia project, where every developer might play different roles in different development scenarios (programming, graphic design, audio mixing, etc.).

This tool is very easy to work with as any user can develop impressive applications in seconds, just dragging multimedia content (pictures, buttons, movies, sounds, etc) from the tools palette into the nodes of the hypermedia application under development.

As CineMedia Astur is based on a flexible and extensible multimedia assets manager, adding new multimedia assets to the tool is as easy as to copy a new plug into the components folder of the application. After restarting, CineMedia Astur will recognize the new multimedia asset (a new video manager, for example) showing in the tool's palette.
